CareTags has functions in place to “catch” updates from various airlines and other industry stakeholders. Additionally, there are multiple stakeholders who participate in the CareTags update network by scanning the tracking label and providing traditional updates.
The app is currently setup to “catch” updates from Qatar Airways and Lufthansa. If you would like your customers to receive updates from Qatar or Lufthansa, you need to the following:
The app is also currently setup to “catch” updates from the City of London’s Heathrow Animal Reception Centre. For this to work, you need to ask the clearing agents you use to add [email protected] to their PHILIS record at the HARC.
PHILIS, the HARC's proprietary facility software, sends out "check-in" and "complete" alerts to the clearing agents. A clearing agent can request of the HARC to have email addresses added to the pool of addresses that receive these updates. Please note: only non-commercial consignments receive these PHILIS updates.
Multiple clearing agents in the UK have already added [email protected] to their PHILIS record. If you use one of these clearing agents, no further action is required for your CareTags account to start receiving these updates, aside from ensuring an Air Waybill number is present on the Shipment file (just as is explained in step 4 above).
You can request a list of current clearning agents who are already participating in this. If your agent doesn’t yet have [email protected] added to their PHILIS record, simply request that they add it. (Note that if a certain consignment is not associated with a CareTags file, nothing will happen, so there should be no worry among clearing agents about doing this sort of catch-all approach.)
